I first served this to my students in Psychology Club in 2004 and just did so again last week, over 20 years later! My original note was, "Delicious. Eaten at Psych Club before I could get more than a sliver!"
This is a relatively easy but very impressive dessert! Enjoy. :-
Chocolate Orange Cheesecake
Crust:

1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs (about 1 row of Oreos in the food processor)
1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
3 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions:
Combine crumbs, cinnamon, and butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes.
Cheesecake Ingredients:
4 8-punce packages Philadelphia brand cream cheese, softened (I sit the packages out all morning and bake in the evening)
3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted
2 tablespoons orange flavored liqueur
1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
Directions:
Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Blend in sour cream and vanilla.
Blend chocolate into 3 cups batter (in another bowl); blend liqueur and peel into remaining batter.
Pour chocolate batter over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees.
Spoon remaining batter over chocolate layer, pressing gently to edge of pan. Bake for 30 minutes more.
Either loosen cake from rim of pan and cool before removing from pan OR leave in pan if you're going to travel and want to protect until you are ready to serve.
Chill.
Garnish with chocolate curls or whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
Dear readers, I hope you are well and have a safe, healthy week!
Looking awesome, thank you 😊
