This has been my extended family's go-to dessert for New Year's Eve. My sisters, my nieces and nephews, and of course, my kids--we all love it! Plus, fondue is interactive and easy to make. Plus, you're dipping strawberries and bananas and angel food cake--must also be healthy, right?

I wish you all a Valentine's Day full of love--whether romantical or the love of family or the love of our Savior--know that you are loved!
Chocolate Fondue
Ingredients
12 ounces milk chocolate, semi-sweet (my choice), or sweet cooking chocolate chips
3/4 cup light cream (I mix heavy cream and milk)
1 to tablespoons cherry brandy, orange-flavored liqueur, 2 teaspoons powdered instant coffee, vanilla, or almond extract (our favorite)
Dipping foods--angel food cake (cut in bite-sized squares), strawberries and/or raspberries (washed and left whole), bananas (cut in chunks), marshmallows (large not mini), shortbread cookies, or pretzels
Directions
Pour chocolate chips and cream in fondue pot (this is simplified from the original--really, no need for an extra pot). Turn heat on low and stir until melted and combined.
Add chosen flavoring (optional).
Monitor to make sure the mixture doesn't boil--otherwise, that's it!
Now, you spear your dippers and devour!
I'm afraid I don't know where this recipe came from originally--we've been dipping for decades!
What are your Valentine's traditions?
Sounds great, thank you 😊
I have never made fondue but this sounds really good and easy.
